So on my way home I drove through downtown Guelph (for the 2nd time today) and got all green lights - for the second time today!

if you drive at the same speed as i bike, you can hit green lights all the way too. for me it's just a matter of going the right speed and observing the pedestrian signals to know when i'm going to arrive at the intersection!
