My latest obsession/weakness is cupcakes.Maybe it's the Valentine's season or maybe it's just me craving sweets - either way, I absolutely adore cupcakes.
They are bite-sized (ok, a few bites, not just one), covered in icing, you can hold it in your hand and not need a plate, they come in all shapes and sizes (big, small, heart-shaped, teeny tiny) as well as a multitude of flavours.
AND they take less time to bake in the oven than a cake. They're extremely easy to ice and I think I will be doing some experimentation.
Which means lots of cupcakes sitting around.
I think I should have a cupcake party.

vanessa, i LOVE cupcakes!!! there is this girl in one of my groups and for the past couple weeks shes bringing cupckaes to our meetings (the first time because it was her birthday later that week, and then again because it was valentines week). she is my absolute favourite. i would love a cupcake with LOTS of icing right now.... yummmmm....mmm.. anyways..all this to say, i think a cupcake party is a brilliant idea!!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to a cup cake store? There's one at younge and eglington in TO. The cup cakes are outrageously priced, but pretty tasty. Here's a cupcake icing tip that I learned while working at a tea room. Put the icing into a piping bag with a large pretty shaped icing tip. They look so pretty that way:)
