annoyed

Grr. I just spent 5 minutes at the door being given a spiel from a salesman about a phone/internet service. These people ARE persistent and I actually feel annoyed and a bit angry. Twice he asked for my name as he pulled out his clipboard to sign me up for the service after I had already told him that I wasn't prepared to make a decision right now and especially without my husband there OR before looking over my bills and what I pay + what they're offering including the small print. Who really does that anyway? I am so annoyed at the gall he had to just go ahead and try and bowl me over without considering what I had JUST TOLD HIM.
So annoyed.

no biting!

I just saw this for the first time. Apparently it was pretty big on YouTube and in the UK as well (They had the family on a morning TV show). It's so cute and hilarious.

temperment and seasons

I do NOT like hot and humid days like today. I become cranky and short-tempered. I know I shouldn't let weather determine my mood, but with a cranky baby today...it was hard not to let it get to me.
Whatever happened to the gorgeous slightly coolish fall weather we were having? I miss it already.
I must say, autumn is quite possibly my favourite season. I'm too tired to write about why. I'll just leave it at that.

gone bad

My stomach feels funny and my mouth has a bad taste in it. I think the milk in my cereal was bad.

new purse!

I decided I need a new "every day" purse. You know, the default purse. The one you keep all your stuff in and can grab as you head out the door.
I had been using this canvasy type one that I bought at Walmart (woot) but I was kinda getting sick of it. And I think I need a more grown up one.
So I got this one today - and I LURVE it.

respect for the dead

On our drive home today from Brockville back to Guelph, Jamie and I noticed that every single bridge along the 401 was filled with Canadian flags, people waving flags, Ambulances, Firetrucks, cop cars all with lights flashing. We were so confused. What was going on? What are they all standing there for? How did someone co-ordinate something so massive that so many people would support it? It started around Trenton and continued to just the east side of Toronto (that's a LOT of bridges/overpasses). Jamie called his Dad to find out what was going on. His Dad said that the hearse with the soldiers who had died in Afghanistan was behind us. Everything made sense and clicked. We honked and waved as we went under every underpass to show our mutual support.
I was actually really moved and touched by this display of support by literally hundreds and hundreds of civilians, cops and other soldiers. People had parked on the side of the highway with TImmy's in hand, waiting for the processional to show their support and respect for the dead. Jamie and I said that if we didn't have a rather grumpy baby in the backseat we would have pulled over and joined the crowds.
It was pretty amazing.

sweet deal

I picked up the cutest shoes EVER. Seriously. For Noah. I've wanted to get Noah a pair of tiny converse for a REALLY long time. Probably before he was born. And I got them. And they fit perfectly (too bad, I was actually hoping they'd be a tiny bit big so they'd last longer). It's so adorable. Actually, I got a pretty sweet deal on them (I think). I was browsing online for baby converse high tops when I came upon the Soft Moc website. I "ordered" them but got to the payment page and then decided to opt out of them. I got an email later that day from the President or someone of Soft Moc and they gave me a 10% off code because they noticed I didn't actually go through with the purchase. So I went ahead and got my cutie patootie converse shoes at 10% off. Sweet deal!

bike

Today was the second day in a row that I've gone for a long walk at the park by the river with Noah. It's also the second time I noticed this bike leaning against a tree. Who left it there? Why? Did something happen to them that they had to abandon this bike? There's a story behind it and I want to know what it is!

Nick & Norah

I cannot tell you how much I want to see Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. I JUST saw the trailer on tv and it excites me in so many ways!
First, it's got Michael Cera (from Juno) and he's just as adorable as he was in Juno.
Second, the girl (Norah) in the movie looks quirky and likeable and ...
I just wanna see it!
October 3rd! Yah!
